Under Contract

First,
I would like to announce that after only being on the market for two weeks our home is under contract. I never thought things would move this fast, but they did. We are so very lucky. I have friends that have had their home on the market for almost a year!

Tony and I have been looking at houses like crazy. We looked at a ton over the past weekend, three last night, and a bunch are on the list for tomorrow. Right now we have two at the top of the list. They are both beautiful homes. I am going into this weekend with an open mind to see what else is out there. We will not rush into a home. We will stay with my parents until we get the right home for our family.

I have enjoyed looking into all these homes. I have gotten a ton of ideas. There are some homes that looked great, and others that did not look so great. Our relator has been amazing. I am so very happy with our choice in relator, and would recommend her to anyone. Although this has gone so smooth so far I am ready to be done with it, and build new memories in our new home.

Also, my Mom this week has taken some time off. Sheree has been watching the kids for me, and I am so thankful for that. They love Sheree, and she takes such good care of my babies. Thank you Sheree for all  your kindness. You are one awesome friend. Thank you for all you do.

I really should stop blogging, but I want to make sure I am documenting on all of our big events that our taking place. At this point today I am happy to be "Under Contract", but very overwhelmed. We have to be out of our home April 17th. That is just around the corner. Thank you for those that are helping. We are so blessed to have such great family and friends. More to come...

1st Day of Pre-K

Friday morning was Lillian's first day back to preschool. She was very excited, but a little nervous. She does not do that well with change. I found a little gift for her to give to the teacher, and my Mom wrapped it for me the night before.

The night before preschool, she got her fingernails painted, and had a trip to the mall. Lillian loves to get her fingernails painted. I took Kerrington for the first time, but she decided not to do it. I think she was a little too scared. Lillian, while at the nail salon, did ask me why all the boys in the nail salon looked like her Daddy. I thought it was really cute, and she went on to explain that they are Asian just like Daddy and herself.

Friday morning came and it was time to take Kerrington to my Mom's house. Lillian went to work with me until it was time to take her to preschool. Before we left the house, I made sure to get her pictures with some signs I printed off. Lillian is not a big fan of taking pictures. We dropped Kerrington off and to my work we went. She really enjoys going to work with me, and now knows several of the people I work with. After being there for an hour, we headed to her preschool. I let her sit in the front seat while in the car line. As our car got closer to the front of the line she was getting really excited. Her teacher was out there waiting for her, and came to get her out of the car. The first thing Lillian told her was that she had a present for her. Lillian got out of the car and I watched her walk through the doors.

I went downhill from there. Yes, I did cry!! Not a lot, but I did.

Lillian is just getting so big, and I can't believe next year I will have a
kindergartner and Kerrington will start preschool. Wow, time sure does fly.

Ice Cream Shop!

It was a super hot day, and I wanted to do something fun. While the girls were taking a nap, I prepared an ice cream shop in our living room. I rounded up four containers, and printed off labels and menus. After getting it all set up I realized I did not have any toppings. I went to the craft cabinet and found some pom-poms. It was so much fun, and kept them so busy. It was defiantly the best ice cream shop I have ever been to. Did I mention it was play-doh??

Happy Birthday Kerrington

Dear Kerrington,
Today you turn 3 years old. I can't believe you are three. I remember holding you for the first time, and it is a moment I will never forget. You were born premature at 34 weeks. I had no idea what we were in for. I am happy to say you are now one very healthy girl today.

Kerrington, you bring so much joy to my life. You are such a great big sister. You have a heart of gold, and always take care of me. Your karate moves, and dancing bring the biggest smiles to my face. I love to listen to your sweet prayers, and love to hear you sing in the bath. You hold your own when it comes to fighting with you sister, and laugh so hard with her while playing. I love the girl you are becoming, and can't wait to see what this year brings. I love you to the moon and back.

The Front Porch

Before Kerrington's party I wanted to take some pictures of the girls on the front porch. The girls and I spent a lot of time this summer outside in the front painting. I have so many memories with the girls in the front yard, and front porch. I know our house will sale sometime, and I will want these pictures to look back on. It's a very small front porch, but so many memories were created.

I would like everyone to know how hard it is to get the both of them together, and get pictures taken with smiles on their faces. I did not get as many pictures as I wanted, but most of the ones I got were perfect. The lighting was perfect too. Our agent suggested that we put outdoor pillows on the bench. We went with her idea, and I think it gives our home more curb appeal.

I was very proud of the girls, and the ten minutes they gave me to take pictures of them. I can't believe how big they are getting. They make me so proud to be their Momma. Lillian and Kerrington you are the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. Thank you for letting me take pictures of you on our front porch.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Today we celebrate the Birthday of one of the strongest woman I know... My Mom!

I am so lucky to have such a wonderful Mom. This past year was a roller coaster ride for our family, and I saw more strength from my Mom then I have ever seen in ANYONE. She is an amazing Woman. I am so lucky to have such a great relationship with her, and can't imagine life without her.

The three most important things she  has taught me:  to stand up for myself, to treat others with respect, to cry when needed, to smile everyday, and to always trust in the Lord.

My Mom has so many great qualities, and a huge heart. She has a huge faith, and is a wonderful Nana to my babies.   I hope that I can  be at least half of the Mom to my three children as she is  to her children.

I know that if Andy was on Earth  today he would have gone to see her today, and take her a gift.  I also know he would have called me yesterday afternoon to see what he should get her for her Birthday. He always waited till last minute. If I had to guess he would have got her a nice plant. I really missed that phone call yesterday a lot. I thought about it a lot today, and yesterday. At the same time I can't imagine how happy he is, and that is the best Birthday gift to my Mom of all.  This one will be hard to beat :)

Happy Birthday Mommy. You are one incredible lady. I love you!

For Sale

It is official! The For Sale sign is in our front yard. I must say I really enjoyed watching Tony hammer the sign into the ground. We are very excited and nervous at the same time. I can't wait to see what happens.

The house two doors down from us if also for sale. Looking at their pictures vs. our pictures I would totally choose our home first. We have been working really hard to get the house in selling condition. I think the house looks great. We know for sure one person is coming to look this week.

Tony and I have not activity looked into any houses. I figure the longer it takes the more money we have for our next home. If the house sells really quickly we do have a backup plan. Tony and I both agree that we won't rush into this at all. I love our current house, but our family is outgrowing it. I can't wait to give the kids more space to play.  Thank you to those we have helped us get our house on the market. We truly do have some great friends, and can't wait for moving day.

My Girl's

The girls have been so excited about moving. Lillian request a house with stairs, and a pretty lamp.Kerrington does not really have an opinion.

They are also growing up on me WAY too fast. The three of us can sit down, and have an adult conversation. I love to listen while the two of them are playing together. Kerrington loves her baby dolls, and Lillian is really liking puzzles, and drawing. Kerrington will treat her babies with such love, and Lillian will blow you away with her coloring, and drawing skills. They both have their Birthday's coming up. I will soon have a three year old, and a five year old. Before I can blink they will both be in high school, and want nothing to do with me.

One of our favorite things to do right now is to talk to each other in a French accent. We actually do this all the time, and make up names for each other while shopping at the store. My name is mostly Nicki. I love making memories with my girls. I love every moment of it, and can't believe I was blessed with the two of them. Lillian and Kerrington, you both are so beautiful inside and out. I am so lucky to be your Mommy. I love you both to the Moon and back. Muah!

My Boy

My sweet Campbell is growing up on me way too fast. It literally breaks my heart to stop and think about it. I am so blessed that God gave me a boy. Campbell is so cuddly, and has the cutest little cheeks I have ever seen. Campbell, please slow down for Mommy!

Campbell is doing really great. He is still on his kidney medication. The good news is that have not had to change the dosing at all yet. This leads me to believe this will all be behind us one day very soon. We still go for lab work once month, and each time it gets harder on me to watch him suffer through it. He weighs a little over 13lbs, and smiles at the drop of a hat. Campbell has started to babble some, and loves to watch his sisters in his spare time. My Mother tells me he at batting at objects, and laughed out loud. I have yet to witness that. I guess that is a benefit to being a Nana.

I could spend my entire evening sitting and holding him, and rocking him to sleep. I am blessed beyond belief with this little man, and so smitten with him. Campbell, you make Mommy so happy, and I love you to the moon and back! Muah.

We are Moving!!

Wow, what a crazy past couple of days. I am so excited to write today, because I am here to tell you that we are putting our house on the market! I can't believe the time is finally here. This means so much to Tony and myself. We can't wait for this new adventure.

Almost two weeks ago Tony came home for work, and shared with me that he thought it was a great time to start getting our house ready for sale. The next day we packed all the clutter out, and started storing things away. We have got the carpets cleaned, and will touch up paint this weekend. After interviewing a couple of realtors we have found the one that we think will do great. We hope to get the house all listed this weekend. AHHHHH....

I will be the first to tell that I don't recommend moving with three children. What a struggle this has been. I am mentally and physically beat. I can't imagine how intense it will be on our actual moving day. I better get ready and hold on tight.

We have not  been actively looking at houses yet. Tony and I thought it would be best to get our home ready for sale before actively looking. It may be a while, and we are both great with that. Our plan is stay in Nixa. We enjoy living in Nixa, and the schools are awesome.

I do want to thank our friend Jason for his weekend of help. Tony and Jason moved so many boxes, and Jason brought boxes to us from our work. Thank you Jason for your help. It's so nice to have great friends!

After a couple weeks of extremely hard work the house is looking great, and  can't wait to meet with our realtor in the morning to put that  For Sale sign in our yard. This is such a blessing, and something we both have been working very hard to achieve. Not to mention we only ate out ONCE last month!
