Plunger Painting With The Girls

I have been trying to think of fun activities that would not require spending much money. Tonight, I came up with a great one! We used bathroom plungers (clean ones) to paint. It was so much fun and turned out great. I really want to frame it.

I am really trying to focus on the girls this summer, because next summer, we won't have as much freedom. They are getting smarter every day, and I am so proud of them. I have truly been blessed. Kerrington and I have been working extra hard on potty training. I want to make sure she is all the way there come December.

Lillian is looking so forward to the baby coming out of tummy. Sunday night, all on her own, she climbed onto my lap and sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to the baby and rubbed my tummy the entire time. I have to admit it made me a little  teary eyed, and it still does as I am typing this. I know she is going to be such a great help. I can't wait to see what this little one will be like. Hope you enjoy the plunger painting pictures!!

Tennis With Daddy

This week, Tony was asked if he wanted to play in a tennis tournament to support the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks. He has not played tennis since our honeymoon in Jamaica. We both thought this would be a great idea to jump start his weight loss contest with my brother Josh. He played doubles with Carla. It was a scorching 98 degrees with no shade. The girls wanted to go and watch Tony play for a little bit. I was not so sure how long they would last in this heat. They did really good, and sat on the side cheering on their Daddy. Tony and Carla did a great job. I hope he continues to play. I will say he can barley walk today, and is really sore. It was a very hot and very fun day on the tennis courts.

Drive In Movie Theatre

Well, it's 5:00am on Tuesday morning. I am having a hard time sleeping, because in just a few hours I will find out the gender of the baby. I am so excited. Tony and I have been waiting for this day for almost 19 weeks. We are not sharing the news with anyone until July 30th at my gender reveal party. So...sorry for the wait.

The pregnancy is going very well. Last week I started getting my progesterone shots. I will go every week until I am full term (37 weeks). They alternate shots between my left and right hips. Let me just say that it is not a fun thing. The purpose of the shots is to lower the chance of having another pre-term delivery. I am getting extra care this time, and hoping to have a full term healthy baby. Bring on that ultrasound.

Yesterday at work, I found two empty boxes. I brought them home and Tony and I turned them into "cars" for the girls. After installing the cup holders and headlights, the girls decorated their "cars". After decorating, we popped some popcorn, gave them some beverages, put in a movie, and went to the drive in movie theater in our living room!!! The girls were so excited, and loved their "cars".  They even asked us if they could sleep in them. After making them for the girls, I wished I had made one for myself. It was a great way for us to watch a movie together, and kept their attention the entire time. I took some pictures of the progress.

Cupcakes with Daddy

Friday was Tony's Birthday. We decided we would celebrate his Birthday on Thursday. We went to dinner at Grad School, and then went to The Cup to get some of their delicious cupcakes. Tony even got a cupcake, which is surprising. Hope you enjoy the pictures of the girls eating cupcakes. Happy Birthday to Tony.

A night at the ballpark.....

I received four free tickets to tonight's Springfield Cardinals game. This was Kerrington's first baseball game and Lillian's second. We were a little worried about how the girls would behave. They ended up both having a great time and ate a lot of food. We may not have had peanuts and cracker jacks, but we did root for the home team. What a great way to spend a Saturday night together.

Simply Yo

Friday night, we tried a new self-serve yogurt place. The girls love going and getting a special treat. It was very delicious. Tony did not get anything (of course), but the girls filled their cups up with chocolate and vanilla.
After we finished eating, my parents showed up, and the girls talked their Poppy into getting a big ice cream cone too. Needless to say, the girls had a lot of ice cream!

Happy Fourth of July!

Wow, what a great weekend this has been!! We started off our weekend with a quiet night at home Friday night. It was just what I needed, knowing that it would be a very busy weekend.

Saturday, the girls and I woke up early and had breakfast together. After breakfast, we decided we would go paint some pottery. The girls love painting, and they did such a great job. Kerrington picked out a caterpillar to paint, and Lillian picked out a hamster. We had such a fun time. Tony met up with us after painting, and we took a little trip to the mall for some play time and lunch. It was then nap time. After nap, we thought we would make a little trip down to Branson for some shopping. Tony went to pick out a new sink for our bathroom. My Mom decided to jump on board and hit the road with us. We had such a great time. After Branson, it was time for bed, and time for Tony to put in our new sink. It looks great, and took him no time at all. We are lucky to have our handy man.

Lillian's Dress she found, and her ballet moves!

Sunday, I got to have my Mom for the day. We got a ton of work done. Kerrington is now all moved into Lillian's room, and the other room is cleared out and ready for baby stuff again. I can't believe I get to do this all over again. The girls love sharing a room (sometimes a little too much). After cleaning, we headed to Mt. Vernon for a freedom celebration at Sheree's church. We had a great time and some really great food. We cut it little short because of the rain.

Today, I took a little break and had lunch with my Mom and Grandma. I really enjoyed lunch with the two of them. We don't get to do that very often. We hope everyone is having a good Fourth of July weekend. Enjoy the pics.

Lillian's car wash expericence!

The other day, Lillian and  I went through the car wash at a gas station in Nixa. Needless to say, this is what her car wash experience looked like...
